Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the rules for using the services operated by London Informatics ("we," "us," "our"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
These Terms apply to three separate services:
- Drum Sound.Art (drumsoundart.com) — a vintage drum storefront and email notification service
- Ask Zante (askzante.com) — an AI-assisted travel information service for Zakynthos
- WebGPT (webgpt.biz) — a multi-model AI chat assistant
Where a clause applies to one platform only, it is clearly marked.
1. Who we are
London Informatics is operated by Harris Maroudas, based in the United Kingdom. Our contact address for legal matters is: legal@london-informatics.org.
We are the data controller for the personal data you provide to us. Our privacy practices are described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility — age requirements
You may use our services only if you meet the minimum age requirement for your country of residence.
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area: You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use any feature that requires us to process your personal data with your consent. This age floor reflects the minimum set by national implementations of Article 8 of the GDPR in the majority of EU member states, and in particular the floor applicable in Germany (16 years). Some member states allow a lower age of 13; however, we apply 16 as our uniform EU floor.
If you are located anywhere else in the world, including the United Kingdom: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use any feature that requires us to process your personal data with your consent.
All users: You must be at least 18 years old to purchase credits or any paid service. A completed credit or debit card transaction is accepted as reasonable evidence that you are at least 18.
If you are under the minimum age that applies to you, you must not create an account, submit an inquiry form, or subscribe to email updates. If we discover that an account has been created by someone below the applicable minimum age, we will delete the account and all associated data without notice.
By using our services, you confirm that you meet the age requirement that applies to your country of residence. If you provide false information about your age, we reserve the right to terminate your account immediately.
3. Account registration
Ask Zante: Accounts are created by entering your email address and verifying a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to that address. You are responsible for keeping your email address accurate and your account secure.
WebGPT: Accounts can be created using Google Sign-In or via Telegram. By using Google Sign-In, you authorise us to receive your Google profile identifier and email address from Google. By using Telegram login, you authorise us to receive your Telegram user identifier.
Drum Sound.Art: We do not require account registration. If you subscribe to email alerts or submit an inquiry form, you are providing contact information only, not creating a full account.
You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your credentials. You must not share your account or credentials with anyone else. You must notify us immediately at legal@london-informatics.org if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Use any service to generate, distribute, or store content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights;
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature, rate-limit, or access control on any of our services;
- Use our services to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, or to collect data about our services by automated means, without our prior written consent;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use our services to send unsolicited communications (spam);
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or databases;
- Use our services in a way that violates the acceptable use policies of any underlying AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI), or the terms of any third-party platform we use to deliver our services.
We may suspend or terminate your access without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated this section.
5. AI-generated content — important disclaimers
This section applies to Ask Zante and WebGPT.
Our AI services use large language models provided by third parties (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI) to generate responses to your queries. You should be aware of the following:
- AI responses are not always accurate. Language models can make mistakes, confuse facts, or generate plausible-sounding but incorrect information. You must independently verify any information that matters to you before acting on it.
- Not professional advice. Nothing produced by Ask Zante or WebGPT constitutes legal, medical, financial, psychological, or other regulated professional advice. If you need professional advice, please consult a qualified professional.
- Ask Zante specifically: Ask Zante is a tourism information service for Zakynthos, Greece. Its responses are based on a curated knowledge base and are intended for general holiday planning. Information about ferry schedules, opening hours, prices, and services may be out of date. Always check with the relevant business or authority directly before making travel decisions.
- AI provider terms: When you use Ask Zante or WebGPT, your input is sent to one or more AI providers. Your use of these services is also subject to the usage policies of those providers. Links to the relevant policies are listed in our Privacy Policy.
- No guarantee of availability or consistency: AI models are updated from time to time. The quality, style, or content of responses may change without notice.
6. Payment terms (WebGPT only)
WebGPT uses a pay-as-you-go credit system. Credits are purchased in advance and consumed per request.
Pricing: Credits are sold in packs. The current pricing is displayed on the WebGPT checkout page before you confirm any purchase. 1 credit = £0.01 (including VAT where applicable).
Payment processor: All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By purchasing credits, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service, available at stripe.com/legal. We do not store your full card details. Stripe holds that information as a PCI-DSS compliant processor.
Consumer right of cancellation (EU/EEA and UK users): Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) and Directive 2011/83/EU (EU), you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital content purchase. However, by proceeding with a credit purchase and beginning to use those credits, you expressly consent to the immediate supply of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of cancellation from the moment credits are first consumed. Unused credits may be refunded at our discretion if you contact us within 14 days of purchase and have not consumed any credits in that period.
Non-expiry: Unused credits do not expire while your account remains active.
Account closure and refunds: If you close your account, any unused credits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Contact legal@london-informatics.org to request a refund of unused credits.
Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card provider that we believe is not justified, we reserve the right to suspend your account and offset the chargeback amount against any remaining credits.
7. Intellectual property
Our content: The design, code, branding, and original text of our services are owned by London Informatics or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our written consent.
Your content: You retain ownership of any content you submit to our services. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process that content for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models without separate disclosure and consent.
AI-generated outputs: Responses generated by the AI services are produced by third-party models. To the extent any copyright subsists in AI-generated outputs, the position under UK, EU, and US law is currently unsettled. We make no representation that AI-generated outputs are free of third-party rights. You use AI-generated outputs at your own risk in any commercial context.
Drum Sound.Art — eBay content: Product listings, images, and descriptions displayed on drumsoundart.com are sourced from eBay's public API and are the property of their respective sellers or eBay. We display this content solely to link users to active eBay listings. We do not claim ownership of any eBay listing content. If you are an eBay seller and wish us to remove a listing, contact legal@london-informatics.org.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to any or all of our services if:
- You breach these Terms;
- We are required to do so by law or a court order;
- We reasonably believe your account has been used for fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
- You are, or we discover that you were, below the minimum age at the time of registration.
You may close your account at any time by using the account deletion function described in our Privacy Policy, or by contacting us at legal@london-informatics.org. Account closure triggers our data deletion procedure as described in the Privacy Policy.
On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
9. Limitation of liability
This section applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. It does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
- Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability of any service.
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising out of your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of business opportunity.
- WebGPT: Our total aggregate liability to you in relation to WebGPT is limited to the value of credits held in your account at the time the claim arises.
- Ask Zante and Drum Sound.Art: Our total aggregate liability to you for any single claim is limited to £100.
- Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:
- We will publish the new version at the same URL as the current version, with an updated effective date.
- For registered users of Ask Zante or WebGPT, we will send an email notification to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
- For Drum Sound.Art email subscribers, we will include a notice in the next scheduled notification email.
- Continued use of the service after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
- If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the service and may close your account before the effective date.
11. Dispute resolution and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at legal@london-informatics.org. We will try to resolve any complaint within 30 days.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, both you and we agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where:
- You are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case the courts of those jurisdictions also have jurisdiction.
- You are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, in which case you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of habitual residence, and you may have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/odr.
Note on UK and EU consumer law: Nothing in this clause affects your right as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of your country of habitual residence.
